What Is Computer Applications Technology?

Computer Applications Technology originates from and is a subset of information and communication technologies (ICTs). ICTs are the combination of networks, hardware and software as well as the means of communication, collaboration and engagement that enable the processing, management and exchange of data, information and knowledge.
Computer Applications Technology is learning about ICTs, working with ICTs and using ICTs in an end-user environment to solve problems relating to the processing, presentation and communication of information.
